Purchase and Installation Instructions
1. Purchase the TP-LINK TL-MR3220 v2 router. Other versions could get bricked with this software.
This router usually costs between $40-$50.

2.
Purchase a Zoom 3095 USB dial up modem. It can be purchased
full
price for about $50. Alternatively you can sometimes find it
selling
for as low as $20 on eBay.
ALTERNATIVE MODEMS
a) Rosewill RNX-56USB modem (www.newegg.com carries this
for about $25)
b) Trendnet TFM-561U
c) US Robotics USR 5637
d) Dell NW 147 (often available at a discount on ebay)
All the above modems have the Conexant 93010 controller based
chipset and are well supported in Linux with the standard usb acm
driver. If you'd like to purchase a different modem from the ones
above then please ensure that it is has a controller and is
supported in Linux with usb acm driver.

Once you receive your TP-LINK router, purchase the GAC-252SW software
using the Paypal "Buy Now" Button. Email us
the MAC address of the router. It is printed on the TP-LINK router
package and on the bottom plate of the router. Upon receipt
of your order and the MAC Address, we
will email you a link to download the software and a license key that
you will enter into the router
after
you have applied the firmware update to the TP-LINK
router.

Download the software using the provided Link. It is about 3.8
Megabytes in size and on a dial up connection it will take about 15
minutes to download.
5. Access the TP-LINK administration
interface using the supplied TP-LINK documentation and do a firmware
update using the downloaded GAC252SW file. Wait for 5 minutes
for the firmware update to complete
6.
Access the web interface of the newly created GAC-252 router
following instructions in our user guide and enter the license key in
the System/ Administration screen. If the license key is
incorrect there will be a warning message on the top of the page. If
the license key is accepted then press Save/Apply. Configure the router
with your ISP settings as specified in the user guide.
7.
Insert the USB modem into the USB slot of the router.
Plug in the phone cable into the modem. Wait ten seconds and
press the QSS button in the front to dial out.
